Celebrating the Art of Quiltmaking for 30+ Years

President's Message - October 2021

October 02, 2021 9:39 PM | Lynn Roginski

What does the White Rabbit and fall have in common?

Both are late this year…as is this message.  Although COVID afforded time to enjoy hobbies and open schedules, it seems that things are starting to get back to normal, and for me normal means super busy.  Helping to get the guild ready for another outstanding year, planning for activities and making sure we have a fabulous Fall Auction, time got away from me this month.

Speaking of the upcoming year, our Program Director for 21/22 has been putting out teasers on the 2021 program line up. This year we are going to do something a bit different, and allow for you to fill up your schedule in advance by purchasing a program plan. More information is shared in a separate article and at the next guild meeting on this opportunity – and because workshop spaces are limited, this is a great way to make sure that you are registered for all the classes you want!

To round out this year, we have several great speakers coming up – and a special treat coming in December (fingers crossed, we can meet in person) which will help set us up for next year.

With all the excitement, we are always looking for volunteers to help lighten the work.  If you have skills in marketing, note taking, or want to help out with short term opportunities – there is room for you! The best way to let us know what your passion is in making the most of your Guild membership is to update your member profile to include your ACQ Service Interests. You’ll find your profile and a button to edit it by clicking on the “blue person button” in the upper right corner of the green ACQ banner at the very top of every website page and select View Profile. (Oh my, I’m glad we have more techie people than me in this guild!) Contact VP Membership Deb Roth if you need more help with this.
