Register for the May Workshop
You’ll receive an email from Planks and Paint to select your particular design and complete payment for supplies.
Pick your size and design - 12x12" square for $40.00 or 18x18" for $55.00 - this cost is paid directly to Planks and Paint
Design: Your favorite quilt square (or maybe your second favorite) from what Planks and Paint have available… or a Special Design.
Show up May 16th with a snack to share … and … ready to laugh and to paint!
Hang up your masterpiece for all to see!

NO drawing or painting skills required! These Barn Quilts are simple and easy to make… especially with the Plank and Paint staff helping us!

June Picnic - "We Luv ACQ" (June 13, 2026)

June 13 ACQ Summer Picnic | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM

Grab your sunhat and your favorite side dish—it’s time for our ACQ Summer Picnic on June 13 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM!

Come enjoy a delightful afternoon with your Arapahoe County Quilts friends filled with good food, laughter, and plenty of quilt talk. We’ll provide the main dish, and we invite you to bring a tasty side to share for our picnic feast.

Be sure to pack your ACQ Sewing Challenge project, too! We’ll display all of the amazing entries so everyone can admire the creativity and cast their votes for their favorite. The winning project will be announced during the picnic, so bring your best stitches and a little friendly competitive spirit.

No need to worry about the practical details—there will be parking available and bathrooms nearby, so all you need to bring is your dish, your challenge project, and your sunny picnic spirit.

Come soak up some summer fun, celebrate each other’s creativity, and enjoy a lovely afternoon together with your quilting community! ☀️

June Workshop - "Photographing Quilts Outdoors" (June 13, 2026)

Join Megan Fowler for a relaxed, hands-on quilt photography workshop set in the beauty of local Falcon Park. In this 2-hour session, I’ll walk you through how to capture stunning photos of your quilts using natural light, simple styling, and easy camera (or phone!) techniques—no fancy gear required. We’ll cover everything from composition and backgrounds to getting those crisp, scroll-stopping shots that truly show off your work. Bring a quilt (1-3 quilts) and get ready to see your makes in a whole new light.

Do you love to make mystery quilts or does the thought making a quilt for which you have no idea what the finished result will be scare you? Fear not! Whether you are a seasoned veteran and you enjoy the intrigue and suspense of not knowing the final outcome or if you have never had the courage to tackle making a mystery quilt before, Kimberly's ultra-popular mystery quilt classes and patterns are perfect for you!

She has designed the entire process to be simple and stress-free so you can take a risk with your fabric selections or risk nothing at all. Step out of your “quilt comfort zone” and try something new.

If your fabrics have good contrast, look great when lined up together, and match the values given in the fabric requirements table, then they'll look beautiful when sewn together.
