Isn’t it great that we have the opportunity to be together again in person? Both May and June’s meetings are going to be in person meetings at the First Plymouth Church. We are still limited to 100 participants, so it is really important that you sign up in advance. If your name isn’t on the list, we will have you wait at the door until all registered participants are in. Our May meeting will be interactive - and our June meeting is more like a fun event of shopping, show and tell, and helping to raise funds for charitable activities and to secure programming for next year! June is open to guests - so please invite your quilty friends!
That being said, we don’t want to exclude our remote members but the logistics of combining an In-person meeting with a Zoom meeting is still in the works. We are working to purchase equipment to make sure that we can offer both in-person and virtual guests a similar experience when our meetings are held in person. Some of our newest and most active members join us from locations outside of the Denver metro area - and since the technology is around to make it happen, we are researching on how to make it happen.
And as always, this is a volunteer organization. We can’t continue without active members that are willing to step up and help out. While a board position may not be for you, consider volunteering to help out with our June Books and Bargains sale, finish infant loss blankets or bind charity quilts. There truly is something for everyone to get involved with ACQ!
