ACQ's 2015 Festival of Quilts
Your quilts need labels on them: The label should at least include: your name, and the name of the quilt. You can include other things on the label if you would like. If your quilt is being judged please cover your label with another piece of fabric. You can just pin a piece of fabric over the label. This is so the judges won’t know whose quilt they are judging.
All quilts must have a 4-inch finished sleeve attached on the back, top edge of the quilt. Find instructions on how to create and attach a sleeve. Note: If quilt is over 94" in length, a sleeve must be positioned at 94" from the bottom.
Bring your quilt in a fabric bag: That bag should also have your name and the name of the quilt on it. You may use pillowcases or bags you make that are big enough for the quilt. Please don’t bring your quilt in a plastic trash bag. They are slippery and are difficult to manage when we are stacking quilts.
Quilt Entry Drop Off Options
May 26 - June 5: Drop off at one of the following Quilt Shops:
Creative Needle, Fabric Expressions, High Prairie Quilts, Holly’s Quilt Cabin, Wooden Spools.
June 6: Entries accepted at the show site. 4:00-7:00 pm.
Quilt Pick Up
June 10: Pick up quilts at show site from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
Note: written authorization is required for someone else to pick up your quilt. Include this authorization with your quilt at drop off. Also, a representative from Quilts of Valor will pick up your QOV quilt if it is authorized.

VOLUNTEER FOR THE SHOW
Have fun volunteering with other ACQ members and then stay to enjoy the Festival of Quilts or vice versa!
There are a wide variety of volunteer jobs that need to be filled to put on the Festival of Quilts.
The sooner you sign-up, the better your chances are of getting the job you want.
All volunteers will be entered into a drawing for two quilts at the end of the show.

SELL AT THE BOUTIQUE
This is the time to show off your handcrafted items and make some money!
All items sold in the FOQ Boutique must be handcrafted by a member of ACQ.
No commercial or manufactured items will be accepted.
All Boutique Registration Forms and checks must be received
by May 31, 2017

Quilt Appraisals Available by Appointment at Festival of Quilts.
Now open to the general public!
Cindy Brick will be appraising quilts by appointment on June 8, 9 & 10. Cindy is an AQS-certified appraiser, and a Candidate/Member (Senior Personal Property) with ASA (American Society of Appraisers). In addition, Cindy is a Quilt Historian and can date a quilt and provide some historical quilt related information.
So, whether you are interested in an appraisal to have a value for insurance or resale purposes or to understand more about an older quilt, this is a great opportunity.
The appointments will be 30 minutes long. On Friday and Saturday, she will be able to appraise a quilt while it is hanging in the show.
You will receive a written appraisal report via mail after the show.
The appraisal will cost $45.00 payable to Cindy at the beginning of your appointment. Cindy can take payments by credit card, check or cash.

Improved! Note Cards for Purchase.
We are going to offer you the opportunity to purchase notecards with a picture of your quilt on the front of the cards again this Festival of Quilts.
You will only be able to order cards with your quilts on them.
We are implementing some improvements based on lessons learned from our last show which we believe will significantly improve the quality. The price will be the same: 6 cards for $10.
You will be able to preview the photo before purchasing in the Boutique and we will offer to sell them at the July meeting as well. Plans are to have the cards available at the August meeting.
