From the President

Oh my gosh! I can't believe it’s already July! Where has the year gone?

I want to start by thanking the quilt show committee for all of their hard work to make our 10^th show a success. They are Susan Auskaps, Tammi Belden, Claire McCabe, Nathlia Holtz, Peggy Jorgensen, Tracy Kreiling, Pam Kuhn, Beth Lancaster, Angela Nofziger, Ann Petersen, Deb Roth, Trudy Sanders, and Diana Smith. It wouldn’t have happened without their time and commitment. Of course, we’d have nothing to showcase if it weren’t for the extremely talented group of members in this guild. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations with us. Congratulations to everyone.

While July seems to have crept up on me, it is time to start planning for 2009. We are looking for members who would be interested in volunteering their time to keep this guild running smoothly and moving forward. Members are needed to run for election to the Board for the 2009 year. These positions are Vice President-Membership, Vice President-Programs, Secretary, and Treasurer. We need everyone’s help to make our guild a success. Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet a wide variety of people and really feel connected to our quilt guild. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about any of the positions. I hope you will consider joining the Board.

Carol Watkins of Boulder will visit us this month to share her fiber art and tell us how nature can be a wonderful inspiration. Please join us for a great evening of fun and friendship!
