After much hard work of the Quilt Show Committee the day of our bi-annual quilt show finally came.  The quilts were collected at several local quilt stores with the last drop off date on June 5 at the Presbyterian Church, the location of the show.  Hanging quilts is always a tough job but the ladies responsible for this task worked hard so the display of quilts was ready by Wednesday for the first official event.  The quilt show was kicked off on Wednesday evening with Cake and Punch Reception for all the quilt show participants, sponsors, and judges.

In addition to the quilts displayed in the main show area, there were more quilts displayed in the lobby; besides our raffle quilt there were also quilts presented by the sponsors.

Throughout the 3 day event there were 1½ hour long demonstrations by local quilters sharing their skills in the art of quilt making: variety of appliqué and quilt embellishment techniques, printing on fabric, curved piecing and others.  The ACQ Boutique had a variety of unique, hand crafted items created by our talented members.

The Food Service offered beverages, sandwiches, salads, and home baked goods.  The food was excellent not to mention the show-stopping, home-made, back by popular demand cinnamon rolls made fresh daily by our own Nathlia Holtz.
